Why Mexico?

In choosing a field, we had three major areas of consideration:
  • to be a part of a church plant team
  • to be able to focus our ministry to children and youth
  • to be able to use our gifts in the areas of music, drama & teaching
After much prayer, research and a 9 month practical internship in Baja Mexico, we believe that God is leading us to serve in Mexico as career missionaries:
  • In Mexico, there is a great need for more missionaries to join the current missionaries so we would be able to help fill a vital role.
  • In the state of Baja California Sur, 43% of the population is 18 years or younger so there is a great need for ministry to this age group.
  • In Mexico, we will be able to be a part of the worship team as well as use music lessons as an outreach to the youth. We will also be able to continue developing an evangelistic drama team. We will be able to assist with the church plant team in areas of teaching at youth group, kids club and other areas where we will be needed.

What are we doing now in preparation for returning to Mexico?

  • Continuing our deputation through prayer letters, phone calls and personal contacts as well as meetings with individuals and churches.
  • We just completed language school at Rio Grande Bible Institute where we will finish up in Dec. 2005. Learning Spanish is vital for an effective ministry in Mexico.
How can you help?

We need both prayer and financial support to get us there and to keep us there. We believe that for all the ministry needs to be met (financial, physical and spiritual), there must be an emphasis on prayer. The financial support that we need includes both the outgoing expenses such as travel and setting up a household as well as regular monthly support.

We understand that in order for you to pray effectively for our ministry, we have a responsibility to communicate with you about the needs in Mexico. We view our relationship as a partnership where you play a vital role in what God is doing in Mexico. This is your ministry too! We covet your prayers and your encouragement and we know that you cannot pray intelligently without information. Our goal is to keep you faithfully informed about what God is doing in Mexico, and about us and our personal needs. We will send out quarterly newsletters as well as periodic e-mail updates. We trust that you will read them and commit to pray for us and the lost in Mexico.
